Objects shaped with attention

We craft not just tableware, but presence

Toroumi is a place where clay becomes part of everyday life. We work slowly, by hand, without embellishment. Our ceramics are for those who value simplicity and materiality. For tables with space, warm bread, and stillness. Each piece is not a series — it is presence.

What matters to us

Attention lies in details

  • Form

Each item follows a finished line — soft or defined, but always purposeful.

  • Ease

The bottle fits naturally in your hand. The cup rests quietly on its saucer.

  • Texture

We don’t cover everything in glaze. Some surfaces are porous.

Texture is also a language

We leave imperfections

Smoothness isn’t always the goal. We don’t polish every surface. Instead, we keep fine ridges, thickness variations, slight fingerprints — these give life to the piece. You’ll want to hold it. And you will.

Sets already assembled

No additions needed — it’s all there

Some of our sets include everything: a cup, saucer, bottle, plate, spoon. They are selected with harmony in mind and feel like a quiet ensemble. Packed simply, yet thoughtfully.

Detailed answers

Questions that come up

How are your pieces made?

Each item is hand-formed from clay, with no molds. It goes through shaping, drying, firing, finishing, and glazing — all in one place, with the same hands.

Is your tableware suitable for daily use?

Yes. Everything is made with practicality in mind — sturdy, comfortable, and pleasant to use.

What materials do you use?

We work with natural clay that takes on warm, light tones after firing. Some items are coated with a clear glaze.

Can your ceramics handle hot foods or drinks?

Yes. Our bowls work well for soups, cups for hot drinks, bottles for warm water.

What is the cup size?

The cup holds around 200 ml and is shaped to fit comfortably in the hand.

Is the tableware easy to care for?

Yes. Just a soft sponge and warm water are enough. Avoid sharp temperature changes.
